We acquired MP’s Dora at the Mountain Primal Dispersal in early 2023, and she has quickly become one of our cornerstone females.​ Dora offers added power, foot size, and a calm, easy-going disposition — making her both impressive phenotypically and extremely practical. She’s a no-miss type female that is easy doing, holds her condition on grass, and consistently works.

Her pedigree is stacked with proven, time-tested genetics from respected programs such as Drover Hill, Sunset Farm, LEA White, and Bennachie Farms. Influential sires including Sunset Limited Edition, DH Montgomery, and Sunset Rebel Yell are woven throughout her pedigree.

Her sire, LEA Harrison, is also the sire of our donor MP’s Rey, who was named Grand Champion Female in the Junior Show at the National Western Stock Show for us in 2024 — further backing the strength of this cow family.

In her first calf crop for us, Dora exceeded expectations and continues to prove her value as a donor. Her first ET heifer calf born at our farm, HC Nora, was Reserve Division I in the National Western Stock Show Open Show and went on to command $22,000 in the American Highland Cattle Association National Sale. In the 2025 Scotch On The Rocks sale, a heifer pregnancy out of Dora, sired by Highland Spice Hickory, brought $14,000.

Dora is the kind of animal that stays in good flesh, does her job with ease, and continues to generate the kind of cattle that keep a program moving forward. She has secured her place at the very top end of our program and continues to set the standard.
